A post-doctoral trainee will have a flexible program, tailored to the individual history of the visitor. The normal program will be two years in duration.
The visitor will carry out research involving modeling in at least one laboratory each semester. The choice of research advisor and topic will be left to the joint discretion of the visitor and the core faculty.
Coursework will be taken according to the needs of the trainee, but will typically involve one course a semester. The university has agreed to let postdoctoral trainees take such courses on an auditing basis, without tuition charges (thus no postdoctoral tuition charges are requested in the budget).
The postdoctoral trainee will also attend the weekly "Cognitive Lunch", attend the Colloquium Series, take part in the weekly modeling seminar, give papers at professional meetings, and take part in an ethics course of study.
