The weather in Valle d’ Aosta in late July tends to be quite pleasant—generally dry and warm to hot in the days, and cool at night. Temperatures and conditions of course vary with altitude—Sarre is about 1700 feet in elevation and the mountains top out at about 15,000 feet. On outings, especially to the mountains, one should be prepared accordingly. Do not forget sun cream. Biting insects do not seem to be much of a problem.
