Eleventh Annual Summer Interdisciplinary Conference

Food/Dining

Although there are a few good restaurants in the small village of Cala Gonone, the hotel kitchen is quite good, and we will be using the hotel for breakfasts and dinners. These meals will be included as part of the conference lodging/dining package. Lunches, if desired, can be purchased separately either at the hotel or at restaurants in the village or area. If one desires lunch every day, one can pay for full board rather than half board, with a supplement of about 19 Euro per day. The registration fee will pay for the food and drink at the session breaks, extra food and drink at the opening reception, and the conference banquet (to be held on a day to be decided later).

The day will begin with a continental breakfast buffet in the breakfast room from 8:00 -9.30. Earlier service can be arranged the previous day.

Each day the conference will begin with light snacks and liquid refreshments at about 16:00-16:15, followed by talks, and a 15 minute break with more drinks about midway through the talks (about 18:00). The first day of the conference (Sunday, June 3) will have a reception with wine, beer, and more elaborate snacks, from 15:30-16:15. Dinner will follow directly after the sessions, approximately at 20:15. The offerings at the dinner buffet will change from day to day, but each day will have choices of meat, fish, and options for vegetarians.
