About iCogSci

iCogSci was created by a collaborative effort of undergraduate cognitive science students and faculty at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. iCogSci is governed and maintained by an editorial board of undergraduate students and faculty members from the Cognitive Science Program at Indiana University Bloomington.


The iCogSci project is centered around the following long-term objectives:

To present a wide array of information about the field of cognitive science including history of the field, current research trends, career opportunities, and profiles of U.S. and international cognitive science departments and programs.

To promote the study of cognitive science at the undergraduate level both nationally and internationally.

To encourage collaboration between students and faculty representing various undergraduate cognitive science programs.

To provide students an opportunity to share their research and writings with fellow students and faculty.

To support the academic and professional development of undergraduate cognitive science programs and student organizations.

Meet the Executive Board

Brenden Sewell, Executive Editor / Web Designer
Brenden Sewell is a Sophomore studying Cognitive Science and Philosophy at Indiana University Bloomington. He serves as the executive editor of the Indiana Journal of Cognitive Science and is the webmaster for the Indiana Archives of Cognitive Science and iCogSci.

Dr. Ruth Eberle, Advisory Staff
Dr. Eberle is an Assistant Professor of Cognitive Science and Informatics at Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Eberle also serves as the Director of Technology for the Cognitive Science Program at IUB.

Dr. Rob Goldstone, Advisory Staff
Dr. Goldstone is a Chancellor's Professor of Psychology and a faculty member in the Cognitive Science Program at Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Goldstone currently serves as the Director of the of the Cognitive Science Program and has previously served as the Executive Editor of Cognitive Science, the official journal of the Cognitive Science Society. Dr. Goldstone received his Ph.D in Psychology in 1991 from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Fang Fang, Advisory Staff
Fang Fang works in the Cognitive Science Programs as a Systems Analyst/Programmer. She holds a M.S. of Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University and a MA of Telecommunications from Indiana University. Her major responsibilities in the Cognitive Science Program include support hardware environment and software development.
