Dear Friends and Colleagues,

     It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Indiana Undergraduate Journal of Cognitive Science website. This website is home to a biannual online journal of undergraduate writing in Cognitive Science. This journal is sponsored by iCogSci and the Cognitive Science Program both at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The purpose of the journal is to provide talented undergraduates with an opportunity to publish their work in a peer-reviewed journal with the purpose of promoting new ideas and talents at the undergraduate level.

      In order to maximize the accessibility of the journal, we have decided to use an online format. Submissions are welcome from any area within Cognitive Science and should reflect original thought or research. Review papers will also be considered, but special consideration will be given to original work. It is our goal to publish work of the highest caliber possible. Therefore, all submissions to the Indiana Undergraduate Journal of Cognitive Science will be reviewed by a panel of scholars from the Cognitive Science Program at Indiana University.

     We are very excited to have the opportunity to publish othis journal and take great pleasure in publishing articles from the country’s most promising undergraduate scholars.
