Research Interests
My research interests concern laryngeal physiology and sensorimotor integration, particularly human audiovocal integration. By experimentally manipulating the listening environment of speakers, it is possible to learn how the brain controls specific perceptual attributes of the voice, such as pitch and loudness.
Facilities
The Voice Lab features a sound dampening booth and digital signal processing equipment for manipulating and presenting voice auditory feedback or other acoustic stimuli during behavioral experiments. There is also software and data storage capacity for experiments pairing vocal behaviors with fMRI.
